Ateneo Junior High School Student Applications Information ( requirements )

Admission Policies

The Ateneo de Manila High School, an exclusive school for boys administered by the Society   of Jesus, is a Filipino, Catholic college-preparatory high school with programs designed for the  above-average student. The Junior High School was established this school year 2013 – 2014 in  line with the necessary transitions in support of the K – 12 Reform. Beginning SY 2014 – 2015,  Grade 7 at the Ateneo Junior High School will be the new entry level for the Ateneo de Manila High School. An applicant for Grade 7 at the Ateneo Junior High School must be a member of his school’s Grade 6 batch at the time of application. While no minimum grade is required of grade 7 applicants, the student must not have any failing grades and must have good deportment records.

For acceptance to Grade 7, the student applicant must make the required cut-off score in the entrance test. The applicant may be called for a personal interview after the examinations. An applicant may take the entrance test for Grade 7 only once. Important Information Pertinent to Grade 7 Applicants The Application for Admission form and the Personal Information Sheet may be downloaded at this page. Print all pages of the form on size A4 bond paper and accomplish the form completely in your own handwriting. Please also download the list of Application Requirements and Procedures .

The last day for filing of application forms with complete requirements at the Ateneo Junior High School Administration Office on is 18 October 2013 at 3:00 PM. The office is open from

Mondays to Fridays only, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Entrance Examination schedule is as follows:

Saturday, 16 November 2013

• Session 1             8:00AM – 11:30AM

• Session 2             1:30PM – 5:00PM

Applicants will be notified by mail of the decision on their application on or before 31 January 2014. Please update the office of any changes in your mailing address and contact numbers. Results will not be released over the telephone. Should you have further inquiries, please call the Administration Office of the Ateneo Junior High School at 4266001 local 7010 or 7011. Inquiries can also be emailed to [email protected] . Accepted applicants have to inform the Ateneo Junior High School of their intention to pursue their application by submitting the Intent to Enroll form enclosed with the acceptance letter
within the period indicated so slots can be reserved for them. Non-submission of the form will be interpreted as a withdrawal of the application. The deadline for the submission of Intent to

Enroll form is on 14 February 2014 at 4:00PM.

Scholarship and Financial Aid

The Ateneo de Manila Junior High School offers several types of scholarship grants and financial aid to qualified families of accepted students. Limited scholarship grants and financial aid are

also available for accepted Grade 7 students who may qualify for these provisions. Scholars and recipients of financial aid are expected to do well in their academics and to be role models

to others in terms of deportment. Students accepted on probation are disqualified from applying for such provision.

For Grade 7 applicants, the Application Form for Financial Aid and supporting documents must be submitted together with the Application Form for Admission. Application forms with incomplete requirements will not be processed. You may download the Application Form for Financial Aid  .
